Acrylic paint on polycarbonate sheet, mounted on custom wood shelf
This modular piece consists of painted polycarbonate tiles resting on a custom-built wooden shelf structure. The color fields are layered in flowing gradients across the surface of each tile, and the repetition of the grid creates a sense of rhythm and seriality. The interplay between the painted surfaces and the structural frame blurs the boundary between object and image, artwork and furniture.
