Acrylic paint on polycarbonate sheet
This wall-mounted work is composed of 24 individually painted, curved acrylic sheets, arranged in a rhythmic, grid-like lay out. Drawing on the tradition of haut-relief (high relief), the painted surface extends into space without detaching from the wall. Through this interplay of depth, light, and reflection, the piece operates as a hybrid between painting and object—abstract and immersive, it invites the viewer into a direct, physical experience of color and volume.
The artwork was created for a collective exhibition at Dongchao Rice Mill Art Center in Hangzhou, China in march 2025
